April 23, 1994 - I made this flyer from the instruction manual for the Indy 500 Atari game. I always liked the artwork for Atari games as they made them look so interesting, but then the actual game would be horrible. Indy 500 was not a bad game, though. I especially liked the ice levels where the cars would drift all over the track.

WGHR Benefit 1994

January 8, 1994 - Habeus Corpses gets top billing. All the best local bands at the time, including Picasso Trigger. I barely remember this show, and didn't know WGHR before this (we've never heard of you either). WGHR was the Marietta Tech radio station, and Steve Wishart had a punk show on it when he was studying Civil Engineering. I still have a few records lifted from the WGHR vaults in my collection.

Car vs Driver, Crisis Under Control, No Fraud, Quadiliacha

December 4, 1993 - No Fraud gets last billing on this flyer, even though they were the only touring band on this show. This has Matt Mauldin humor all over it. We played our very first show with Quadiliacha (and Gauge from Chicago), but I think this is the only time we played with Crisis Under Control.

108, Broken, Quadiliacha, Regicide

July 17, 1994: 108 with Broken, Quadiliacha and Regicide at the Somber Reptile. Important to note the appearance of Regicide on the bill, although I'm not sure which incarnation of Regicide this was. Oh, and don't forget Earth Crisis on July 19.

Friends of Quadiliacha memories

"Great to see all these old Somber Reptile shows as well as some of the lesser known or shorter lived Atlanta venues. Quadiliacha were always a fun band to see. "
"Wow. I think I have a bunch of those flyers, either in the garage or my mom's attic. The "Be there or Greg will kill you" show was the first show that I went to with Christine. The Oblivion show at the Somber Reptile was the most awkward naked band that I've ever seen - there were only like 10 people there and the bass player got nekkid. I missed most of the Propagandhi show because I thought it was more important to hang out with my girlfriend (it wasn't). And yes, I was at the SWCCC fest. I think we skipped out to Soul Veg during the delay and missed the Harpies set."

NOFX, Face To Face, Quadiliacha,

November 25, 1995(?) at Somber Reptile with NOFX and Face To Face. This show was been packed.
The NOFX show was 1994, and yes, it was totally packed. Probably the most crowded show I saw at The Somber Reptile.

Face To Face, Levelhead, Five by Nine, Quadiliacha,

September 29, 1996(?) at Somber Reptile with Face To Face, Levelhead and Five by Nine.

great flyers, quadiliacha always had funny flyers. did will not have a copy of the "we're not punk enough for beth johnston" show at the driverdome? i remember she was some wrote some column in MRR saying there wasn't a punk scene in atlanta where she lived, even though we were all doing what we were doing.

Voodoo Glow Skulls, Dog Pound, Levelhead, Quadiliacha,

August 17, 1996(?) at The Somber Reptile with Voodoo Glow Skulls, Dog Pound and Levelhead. Voodoo Glow Skulls ruled the Somber Reptile during this era.
Regarding Voodoo Glow Skulls, we were scheduled to play with them twice. The first time it was us, Levelhead, and VGS, but the singer for VGS got violently ill at some point before they got to Atlanta, so they canceled. The Somber Reptile made it a free show, and we and Levelhead went on as scheduled, only to a much smaller crowd.

The second time I don't remember who else played, but due to a technical difficulty with my guitar we restarted our first song three times before essentially breaking up on stage in a fit of frustration. We did end up regrouping, but vowed to never try to play with Voodoo Glow Skulls again.

Oblivion, Catchpole, Quadiliacha,

August 15, 1996(?) at the Somber Reptile with Oblivion and Catchpole. Check out the other upcoming shows on the flyer.

Gauge, Car vs Driver, Quadiliacha,

July 15, 1993 at Somber Reptile with Gauge and Car Vs. Driver. CVDs first show, and Quadiliacha's second. I seem to remember somebody dancing on stage during Quadiliacha's set, but to this day I have not been able to verify who this was.

Propagandhi, Levelhead, Habeus Corpses,Quadiliacha, Smedley & The Space Cadets

June 25, 1994 at the Somber Reptile with Propagandhi, Levelhead, Habeus Corpses and Smedley & The Space Cadets. 1000 Ken Saluzzi points for this show.

Levelhead, Act of Faith, Quadiliacha, Weston

June 14 at the Somber Reptile with Levelhead, Act of Faith and Weston. Even though Weston is the out of town band, I'm sure Act of Faith headlined and packed the place out. During this time they were a bigger draw for Atlanta shows than any other hardcore band in the country.

Lagwagon, The Difference, Quadiliacha, Broken

May 13, 1994 at Somber Reptile with Lagwagon, The Difference and Broken. Along with Lookout Records, Fat Records bands did a lot of touring in the Southeast during the 1994 time period, and the Atlanta bands played with all of them.

7 Seconds, Quadiliacha, Broken and Stopper

May 5, 1994 with 7 Seconds, Broken and Stopper. Computers certainly took some of the business out of our homemade flyers.

The Queers, Quadiliacha, Car vs Driver

March 25, 1994 at the Somber Reptile with The Queers and Car Vs. Driver. Classic mid-nineties homemade flyer. This is what they looked like before we got computers (and we were retarded). No deadheads allowed I guess.
The Queers, Car vs. Driver, Quadiliacha show occurred when the Somber Reptile was doing shows in the basement too (The Lazy Lizard Lounge or something). Round Ear Spock played that night down there, and we were super pumped because it was our first show "opening" for a big band, even though it was basically a separate show in a connected venue. The flyers we made up certainly didn't bother making the distinction, haha. I was totally starstruck by the Queers, even moreso due to the fact that they had Dan Panic and Dan Vapid from Screeching Weasel playing with them. I helped Panic carry his drums out and felt cool. Also, I still keep in touch with B-Face to this day after meeting him at this show. (That no deadheads thing on the flyer really made me chuckle, btw.)

RES shared a bassist with Stopper. I'll have to ask him if he's got their version of the 7 Seconds flyer. They managed to play with a bunch of big punk bands back then (The Misfits, Fear, Rancid, etc).
